Our most powerful coffee in the store.
Kenya has the reputation of producing the world's best quality coffees - their farmers implement the most advanced practices and quality is maintained at every stage of the growing and harvesting.
Kenyan Coffee Characteristics
Kenyan coffees are sold through a well controlled and organised auction system. They are more expensive than other origins, but that's for very good reasons - Kenyans are more intense, cleaner and higher in flavour that other coffee growing countries.
The farmers have a clear incentive to produce higher qualities and get paid a handsome premium for their efforts.
Rich, strong flavours of blackcurrant and chocolate abound - one of the more intense coffees I've tasted in years.
It will simply blow you away.
Current 2017 season crops of Kenyan coffees were significantly lower in volume.
This has created a shortage of Kenyan coffees in the worldwide market and hence prices have skyrocketed +30%.
Quality lots of Kenyans are difficult to find and it's likely to be a problem until new season lots arrive in March 2018.
